As budding rock star geologists, pupils will closely examine and identify a wide selection of rocks, including sorting, testing and grouping, before using their new knowledge to assist a builder and fossil finder Mary Anning!
Pupils will carry out a basic experiment to understand more about the properties of rocks, putting this immediately to use to help a builder decide which rocks to use on his building site. Travelling back in time to ‘Marys Museum’ pupils will work with Mary Anning to undertake a dig and sort and identify some of the amazing Cliffe Castle Museum fossils. A busy workshop filled with rocks large and small and plenty of teamwork!
2-hour workshop – £127
