Dinosaur Explorer

Duration 1.5 hour

Price £102

Pupils will explore dinosaur features by looking at and handling real dinosaur fossils. They will be able to explore other creatures who left fossils behind.

Ancient Egyptian Civilisation

Duration 1.5 hour

Price £102

Take a journey down the Nile with a trader, finding out about the objects Ancient Egyptians used in their daily lives and the importance of the Nile to travel and trade.

The Art of Early Islamic Civilisation

Duration 2 hour

Price £127

Using artwork and artefacts pupils will explore the historic origins of Early Islamic civilisation, its influences and contribution to world culture.

Evolution

Duration 1.5 hour

In this science-focused workshop pupils use a variety of fossil specimens and sources to formulate their own theories before looking at fossil sequences to identify changes over time.

Hockney Techniques

Through looking at a range of Hockney artworks, pupils will investigate and try some of the different techniques and mediums Hockney works with.

Pupils explore the legend through story-telling and guided activities.

Using the setting of the hall as inspiration, pupils will find out more about the link between the Civil War and the legend of the Bradford Ghost.

Pupils will get hands-on with real Stone Age objects and use archaeological techniques.

A Local History Experience: A Victorian Classroom

Duration 2 hour – Full day

As local mill-working children, pupils will experience lessons at Moorside Board School including copywriting with dip pens, using slates and singing period songs.

Pupils get ‘hands on’ with the basic processes by which the fleece of a sheep is turned into cloth.

As budding geologists, pupils will closely examine and identify a wide selection of rocks, before sorting them into igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary groups.
