Ukiyo-e

1 November 2025 – 1 March 2026

About this event

1 November 2025 – 1 March 2026
Cliffe Castle Museum

Ukiyo-e is a colourful and captivating exhibition that brings Japanese woodblock prints to life — from magical myths and legendary creatures to bustling city scenes and breathtaking landscapes. Families can explore stories of the ‘floating world’, where everyday life, fashion, and adventure unfold in vivid detail.

Alongside these stunning prints, discover delicate and beautiful Japanese objects from our museum collection — the kinds of treasures once collected by local industrialists right here in the Bradford District. With something to spark every imagination, Ukiyo-e is a celebration of art, storytelling, and the wonder of Japanese culture.
