Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

Faith and Art in Islam

–

Through the museum’s collection, learners explore the Islamic faith and the rich artistic traditions of the Muslim world. Investigating key beliefs, sacred places and inspiring artworks, children discover how calligraphy, geometry and pattern are used in Islamic art before creating their own artwork using traditional techniques. This workshop supports KS2 Religious Education learning about Islam while developing creativity, observation and critical thinking skills.
