As budding geologists, pupils will closely examine and identify a wide selection of rocks, before sorting them into igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary groups.
Pupils will carry out a basic experiment to understand more about the properties of rocks and undertake a geological dig to find, identify and sort rocks into igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary groupings. They will examine household objects to discover just how useful rocks can be, before finding out more about Yorkshire fossils!
