The Art & Science of Noticing

A workshop which encourages pupils to respond to the museum and gallery objects which inspire them.

During the workshop pupils will create a sketchbook page of ideas, details and words before either writing a guided poem or creating a shared piece of art. An excellent way to stimulate interest in topics, explore enquiry led learning & give you material to use as starting points back in school.

We can suggest themes or let us know your topic!

Recent focuses have included: Bradford’s Story (local history and art), Plants, Victorians and Interior Design.

Pupils will discover what an art gallery is and will spend time looking at different pieces of art, exploring colours and shapes and recording what they have found out in their very own detective notebooks. A great introduction to visiting a gallery or museum site.

Pupils will meet a Victorian Explorer and discover some of the fascinating world objects in the museum.
