Join us for a joyful afternoon and evening of nature, creativity and wellbeing at our Summer Celebration – a free, family-friendly event for the whole community.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Lister Park and Cartwright Hall, this special event brings together local organisations and artists to offer a range of engaging activities inspired by the natural world and the benefits of spending time outdoors.

What to expect

  • Hands-on activities exploring nature, wildlife and wellbeing
  • Creative workshops and experiences for all ages
  • Opportunities to connect with local groups and discover new interests
  • A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for families and the local community

We’re delighted to be joined by:
Healthy Happy You, RSPB, Wild Remains, and Cecil Green Arts, alongside activities delivered by our own families team.

A selection of snacks and drinks will be available in the Learning Room, offering a space to relax and recharge during your visit.

Whether you’re looking to get creative, learn something new, or simply enjoy an afternoon outdoors with family and friends, the Summer Celebration is not to be missed. More details about activities will be announced soon.

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is in the middle of Lister Park, one and a half miles from the City Centre on the A650 Manningham Lane. There is limited parking in Lister Park, accessible from North Park Road (off Oak Lane). Lister Park is served by many city centre bus services including 23, 25, 26, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 622, 647, 662, w5. Cartwright Hall is about ten minutes’ uphill walk from Frizinghall railway station.
