Music at the Museum 2026: Transpennine Harps
Join us for another concert in the Music at the Museum 2026 season as we continue this year’s programme at Bradford Industrial Museum, running alongside our events at Cliffe Castle.
This performance features Transpennine Harps, a regional group of lever‑harp players who meet regularly across West and North Yorkshire to play together, share music and support one another. With around sixty‑five members from across the east of England and into the north west, the group forms part of the Clarsach Society, based in Edinburgh, which promotes the learning and playing of the lever harp.
Their repertoire spans a wide range of styles, from Celtic and classical to South American music, with sessions designed to support both developing and advanced players. Alongside in‑person gatherings, the group also offers online sessions, giving members the chance to explore new techniques and musical traditions.
We’re delighted to welcome Transpennine Harps to Bradford Industrial Museum for an atmospheric afternoon of harp music performed by this vibrant community of players.
