The Refreshment Room
Situated in the original 1904 Refreshment Room of Cartwright Hall Art Gallery, our cafe is the perfect place to relax, get a good coffee and perhaps treat yourself to a deliciously tempting handmade cake or snack. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available.
The Refreshment Room is breast-feeding and family friendly, with children sized tables available and activity sheets.
We also have buggy parking, highchairs and bottle warmers available.
We have accreditation from Kids in Museums as a reaching their Family Friendly Cafe Standard
Opening Times:
We have amended opening times in the cafe during the run of the Turner Prize 2025 Exhibition.
Monday: Closed (Except for Bank Holidays)
Tuesday to Wednesday: 10.00am – 4:00pm
Thursday – Friday 10:00am – 5.30pm
Saturday: 09.30am – 5. 30pm
Sunday: 10.00am – 5.30pm
There is a Children’s menu available (see boards in the cafe) and we also have range of daily offers and discounts
