Music at the Museum 2026: NoteAbility Concert Band
Join us for another concert in the Music at the Museum 2026 season as we continue this year’s programme at Cliffe Castle, running alongside our events at Bradford Industrial Museum.
This performance features NoteAbility Concert Band, a long‑established ensemble based in Wrose near Shipley. The band began life in 1977 as the Bradford Metropolitan Band, formed to bring together the most capable young players from the Bradford Metropolitan Concert Band. Over the decades, they have built a strong reputation across the district, performing close to a thousand concerts and collecting numerous awards, including multiple wins at both the Robertshaw Music Festival and the Wharfedale Festival.
Now known as NoteAbility Concert Band, the group brings together musicians of all ages and abilities, many of whom have grown up within the band and stayed on as part of its musical community. They continue to be well known locally for their popular Christmas concerts and regular performances in Eccleshill and the surrounding area. Since 2021, the band has rehearsed at the Highcroft Youth Centre in Shipley.
Their concert programmes are designed to offer something for everyone, ranging from musical theatre selections and film and television themes to folk arrangements, classical pieces with a contemporary twist, and features that spotlight different sections of the band. This year’s programme even ventures into rock with the energetic selection Hard Rock Dynamite!.
We’re delighted to welcome NoteAbility Concert Band to Cliffe Castle for an afternoon of lively, wide‑ranging music at the museum.
