About The Event

Location

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery
Lister Park, Bradford BD9 4NS

Cecil Green Arts Lister’s Lantern parade is back again in beautiful Lister Park in 2023. We’ll wind our way through the park starting outside Cartwright Hall Art Gallery and ending with a fire finale by the bandstand.

The Refreshment Room Café will be open until 8 pm and there will be food and drink vans selling refreshments in the park on the night.

Visit the civic art gallery out of hours, a chance to visit the exhibitions, and galleries and peruse the gallery shop in the evening. If you struggle to visit due to work commitments, this is your moment!

Leading up to the Lantern Parade Cecil Green Arts runs lantern-making workshops in community centres, children centres and schools throughout Bradford. Plus, in Cartwright Hall Art Gallery too!

Lantern workshops will be running in the gallery throughout the day. Come in and make yours, ready for the evening parade!

There will be 4 sessions:

11am – 12pm; 12.30 – 1.30pm; 2.30 – 3.30pm and 4 – 5pm.

Please book your place t: 01274 431212 or pop into reception.

The parade sets off from the front steps at dusk. Tea, coffee and cake will be available to buy from the ‘Refreshment Room’ gallery cafe, plus food vans in the park.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This Museum at Night event sees your civic art gallery open their doors for an exciting evening and spectacular night-time display. Support by many volunteers.
