The past and present of Bradford’s textile industry are explored in this new exhibition featuring beautiful costume, fascinating sample books and tools from the textile industry. Objects from our designated worsted collection feature alongside stunning visuals taken by local photographer Ian Beesley.
Born and raised in Bradford, Ian Beesley is an award winning and internationally acclaimed artist and photographer. During the 1970s and 80s, Ian was given the opportunity to photograph inside the working mills of Bradford. For this exhibition, Ian has revisited Bradford’s textile industry once again, capturing how it has changed in the decades since.
Come and appreciate the skill and creativity that makes Bradford a world leader in textile production and design.
