In 2021, Bolling Hall Museum had a popular display in the housebody about Medieval and Early Modern superstitions. Back by popular demand, this display has been revamped for Halloween 2024.
Discover the origin of some superstitions that are still practiced today. Explore the display of witchcraft, magic and superstitious objects in our collection from a corn dolly to a witch bottle to the Devil’s drumsticks. Find out about the accused witch of Bradford. . . if you are brave enough.
Look for the display case in the housebody at Bolling Hall.
