Join poet Charlotte Wetton, from Calderdale, West Yorkshire. Her first pamphlet, I Refuse to Turn into a Hatstand, came out in March 2017, and has been shortlisted for the Michael Marks Pamphlet Award.  This followed a spoken word album, Body Politic. She has published in the usual run of journals with occasional high points of competition winning. She regularly performs across the North and will run workshops if the opportunity sounds fun.

If you’re interested in writing exciting new poetry and would like an industrial inspired heritage afternoon, this is for you!

Limited places available.

For ages 16 to 25 years.

The Writing Squad is for writers aged 16-22 who live, work or study in the North of England, as they begin their careers. The full details of our programme can be found here.

We take Squad writers seriously as writers, artists, and activists, they just happen to be young.
