Making Ice Age portable art using pieces of clay, inspired by Ice Age Art Now
Working with the shape and texture of the clay (as the Ice Age people would have done on their cave walls) to create animal drawings and figurines inspired by the creatures roaming the lands.
The workshop will be Ice Age authentic in terms of using mark making, natural pigments and natural materials to create the pieces.
Families will be encouraged to explore a range of techniques and think about what the Ice Age people would see and what stories and creatures they would recreate through drawing, shape and form of materials. It will engage senses and develop and understanding of the craft and meaning behind Ice Age art.
