Join us to celebrate the I AM ME exhibition and take part in pop-up activities led by young people.
Meet exhibiting artists James Robert Morrison and Charmaine Watkiss, and local artist Jess Swift at our Artist Q&A from 2pm – 3pm. You can find out about their life as artists and get some top tips and advice about the art world.
Use the link below to book onto James Robert Morrison’s drawing workshop (suitable for 14yrs +). James will run though how he prepares a surface to draw on, help you select an image, and share some of his drawing processes with the group.
During the day, you will also be able to take part in a Portfolio Review session with the artists, and with two curators from the Government Art Collection – Theo Weiss – Modern and Contemporary Curator, Gabriella Nugent – Assistant Curator

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is in the middle of Lister Park, one and a half miles from the City Centre on the A650 Manningham Lane. There is limited parking in Lister Park, accessible from North Park Road (off Oak Lane). Lister Park is served by many city centre bus services including 23, 25, 26, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 622, 647, 662, w5. Cartwright Hall is about ten minutes’ uphill walk from Frizinghall railway station.
