In this workshop, specialist bookbinder Linette Withers will show you how to make your own leather notebook using historically appropriate methods, based on 3rd-Century books found in Egypt.
Made of leather, and tied shut with multiple ties, this rustic notebook is modelled after the Nag Hammadi Codices. Along the way learn more about the methods used to make this book and how & why they were made the way they are. This class involves leather work, glue, and sewing. Suitable for beginners, some previous craft experience is helpful.
