Bowling Wassail: bring your lantern!
In the depth of the dark winter, we gather for an ancient celebration of trees. In the old tradition of England, we will gather at the entrance to Bowling Park Allotments and be led by the Wassail King to the Jupiter apple tree at the Community Orchard for warm juice, an Imbolc story, songs, blessing of the trees, waking of the spirits. Please bring a torch to see your way and light the trees.
You can make your own latern at our Wassail Lantern Decoration, Storytelling and Foraging workshops.
