We are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join our Arts Council England NPO Advisory Board, overseeing the delivery of our Arts Council England funded work. Our work is guided by Arts Council England’s Let’s Create strategy, and we are committed to being a more inclusive, dynamic and environmentally responsible organisation. The Board supports and challenges BDMG to deliver our ACE funded programme in line with the Arts Council England’s Investment Principles: Inclusivity & Relevance, Ambition & Quality, Dynamism and Environmental Responsibility.
As a board member, you will help guide our strategic direction, ensure good governance and support our mission. You don’t need previous experience of being on a Board – we value your insight, lived experience and enthusiasm for Bradford’s heritage and creativity. This is an especially exciting time for the service as we plan what our work will look like for the next five years.
We welcome individuals that can bring:
• Lived experience or understanding of the communities we serve.
• Understanding or experience of the cultural, heritage or creative sectors.
• Lived experience or understanding of the communities we serve.
• Perspectives or skills in areas such as fundraising, digital innovation, community engagement, governance, finance, marketing, audience development or environmental sustainability.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, and a desire to help shape and deliver our vision.
• Expertise in areas such as fundraising, digital and community engagement.

Time Commitment:
The Board meets quarterly with additional opportunities for involvement in focus and working groups as opportunities arise.
Remuneration:
This is a voluntary, unpaid role, with reasonable travel or out-of-pocket expenses covered.
