Pupils go behind the scenes to meet and work with a variety of staff – such as curators and collection officers.

Bradford District Museum & Galleries

The Art & Science of Noticing

Duration 1.5 hour

A workshop which encourages pupils to respond to the museum and gallery objects which inspire them.

Bolling Hall Museum

The Stranger’s Case (A Tudor Mystery)

Duration 1.5 hour

Price £102

This literacy and history-based workshop uses the setting of the hall to tell a story about the religious turmoil of the Elizabethan age.

Cliffe Castle Museum

Rocks and Minerals

Duration 1.5 hour

Price £102

Students will recap existing knowledge of Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic rocks and how they are formed.

Bolling Hall Museum

Myths and Legends: The Bradford Ghost

Duration 1 hour

Price £81

Using the setting of the hall as inspiration, pupils will find out more about the link between the Civil War and the legend of the Bradford Ghost.

Local Human Geography

Duration 1 hour

In this session, the students will investigate the physical and human factors that have contributed to the continuously changing landscape of Keighley and the surrounding areas throughout history.

Global Cultures: Bradford’s Migration Story

This cross-curricular workshop encourages pupils to respond to the objects and artworks which tell the story of Bradford – from small town, to ‘Worstedopolis’, to the current day.
