Join us on Sunday 22 October at Bolling Hall, where we have lots of fun activities for the whole family! There will be:
Bradford Stories Bus in the museum gardens. Travelling more than 3,000 miles from New York, the bright yellow school bus promotes community literacies in Bradford. The bus encourages families to express themselves and tell their own stories. It promotes reading for pleasure and delivers wellbeing events across Bradford’s target wards including Bowling. Parents, young people and early years children upwards will be given free access to storytelling and resources on the bus, as part of the communities tour, sponsored by Bradford 2025.
Storytelling all day long with Bolling Hall library volunteers
Volunteer Bolling Gardeners – Halloween Hyacinth bulb planting pots to take home. Decorate in a spooky style first.
Fairies Wardrobe – get your little witches/warlock facepaint. Your favourite magical book characters will be visiting too! Look out for the garden gazebo of magic.
Visit the 12th century residence, Bradford’s oldest building.
Refreshments to buy in the Cold Kitchen
The BD4 Family will also be joining us!
Supporting and restoring communities across generations, they work to help families come together to learn, share and grow. They create a space where families feel safe enjoying quality time together and where they can access encouragement and support when needed. The groups they run support the needs of our ever-expanding community by really listening to families and encouraging them to be part of their decision making.
Come and join them to make a magical Halloween woodland wand! You will be paired with your very own ‘nature stick’ and then the magic will begin!
