A family friendly exhibition exploring modelling and why models are created. The exhibition will look at a variety of models such as engineering models, apprentice models, children’s educational and instructional toys, salesmen’s models, planes, trains and automobiles.
Models are made and used for many reasons; for work and as a hobby or for social development. A model is a representation of an idea or an object. Building models helps people understand how things work; they can be used to educate, to develop skills or to show how skilled you are.
This exhibition will be enhanced with different model displays showcasing various models made and owned by members by model clubs and societies from across the Bradford District. Come see the following displays:
- Leeds and Bradford Model Boat Club: Tuesday 9th - Sunday 14th April
- Keighley and District Model Aircraft Club: Tuesday 30th April - Monday 6th May
- Bradford Model Engineering Society: Tuesday 6th - Sunday 18th August
- Shipley Model Railway Society: Tuesday 15th - Sunday 20 October
Make sure you check out our events connected to the exhibition when model clubs and societies will be taking over Bradford Industrial Museum for demonstration weekends.
Entry to the museum is free. Donation boxes can be found around the site and donations are always very gratefully received.
