We are very pleased to be able to show a range of paintings were created by children who attended Healthy Holidays sessions at Keighley Healthy Living during Summer 2020.
The children worked with artist Victoria Alderson to paint their own hedgehogs. Victoria chose hedgehogs for the children to paint as they are an endangered species and she wanted to highlight their importance to the children.
Hedgehogs can be found in the local environment and she felt it was important to choose something that could be found locally in the wild – as well as in the displays withing Cliffe Castle Museum.
The paintings were first displayed at Keighley Healthy Living, but we are delighted to be able to show the childrens work to a wider audience at Cliffe Castle Museum.
