Diwali Celebration at Cartwright Hall

Date

Nov 11 2023

About The Event

Location

Cartwright Hall Art Gallery
Lister Park, Bradford BD9 4NS

On Saturday, 11th November, we are inviting you to Cartwright Hall to celebrate Diwali together! For this festival of lights, we welcome you to take part in a Rangoli workshop and a Family yoga class.

Traditionally, Rangoli is an ancient Indian art form of decoration on the floor using coloured powders, sand, flowers and even stones. It is thought to bring good luck and prosperity and to welcome guests. Everyone is welcome to come to Cartwright Hall on 11th November from 11 am to 3 pm and make their own colourful patterns in our Rangoli workshop.

The Yoga classes will run in two sessions, from 12 pm and 2 pm. The 45-minute classes are gentle, relaxing, and family-friendly. Through different yoga postures, we will resemble nature and animals, stretching our bodies like a cat and having some fun trying to do balancing postures.

Both events are free! Booking is required for the family yoga class only. On the day at Cartwright Hall.

This program is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
