About this event

1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

Join poet and performer Joanna Jowett in this poetry workshop for all the family, exploring how words can help us to express our love for each other and the people we hold dear. In this workshop there will be the chance to get your own words flowing on to the page and work with others to write a collaborative acrostic poem.
Joanna Jowett is a writer, artist and creative producer based in Leeds. She regularly performs her own writing at spoken word events and creates print, photography and artists publications. Through both her writing and poetry she is interested in exploring the detail of personal and local experiences and how they reflect and question the world we live in, in particular themes of joy and grief.
