Join us for an in conversation panel discussion will mark the final day of the thought provoking Windrush Stories: Don’t Give Up exhibition, which has been on display at Bradford Council’s Cartwright Hall Art Gallery since October 2022.
This event on Sunday 12 February 2023 will feature members of Bradford’s Windrush Generations Partnership talking about their experiences of living and working in the Bradford district. It will be chaired by the eminent scholar, Professor Udy Archibong PhD MBE, who is the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Bradford, where she directs the Centre for Inclusion and Diversity and provides strategic oversight for equality, diversity and inclusion across the institution.

The exhibition, which opened to coincide with Black History Month, was part of a project funded by the British Library and managed by Nigel Guy, Director of Windrush Generations Partnership with the council’s Bradford District Museums and Galleries Service. It set out to capture, shine a light on and preserve the previously untold stories of those from the Windrush Generation who came to live in the Bradford district.
Tickets to the event are free but booking is required. After the panel discussion event which runs from 2pm to 3pm guests are welcome to stay for refreshments. Tickets can be booked here.
